Where Zety is a strong choice

If you are starting from a blank page and want a wide choice of designs with guided prompts and pre-written phrasing suggestions to get a presentable resume quickly, that is Zety's strength. It also runs localized sites in Spanish and several other languages, so the writing experience is not English-only.

Where Interactive CV fits better

If you already have a CV and the problem is not design but relevance — not getting responses, not knowing which of your experience matters for a given posting — Interactive CV is built for that: it scores the gap against the job description, closes it with targeted suggestions, tracks the application and then helps you prepare for the interview.

Job matching and resume analysis

Interactive CV scores a CV against a specific job posting — keywords, qualifications and responsibilities — and recalculates the score when a suggestion is applied. Zety has no equivalent anywhere in its builder: there is no way to compare a CV against a job posting at all, only general writing guidance while building the document.

Guided writing and templates

Zety's real strength is here: search a job title and its editor returns a bank of ready-made bullet points for that role, added to the CV with one click — pictured below. It's a useful shortcut for a blank page, but the suggestions are generic to the job title, not tailored to any specific posting. Interactive CV instead reads the actual job posting and suggests the qualifications and responsibilities that specific CV is missing, integrated into a profile or a role with one click.

Zety's template library is large — dozens of designs across several color and layout variants, pictured here from its in-editor picker. Interactive CV's six templates are narrower in count but built for the same machine-parsing goal, including a Harvard-style layout and a European-format template, two of the most widely recognised CV formats, with a live PDF preview as you edit.

Cover letters and your CV as a document

Zety includes a cover letter builder with templates that match its resume designs. Interactive CV generates a cover letter from the CV and the job posting on the free plan, and can also publish a shareable link where a recruiter chats with the CV by text or voice, alongside the PDF.

Automatic CV translation to the job's language

Zety runs a fully localized Spanish site, but building a CV in one language and translating it to another isn't a feature — starting over in the target language is the only option. Job application tracking

Zety has no application tracker of any kind — a CV built there isn't linked to the jobs it gets sent to.
