Jobscan's ATS diagnostics go deeper than a simple keyword count: it checks section headings, date formatting, education-requirement matches and file type, on top of the keyword comparison. Its free plan gives five resume scans a month with no credit card, and the quarterly plan adds a 7-day free trial — a low-risk way to test the paid tier before committing.

Where Interactive CV fits better

Price is the starkest difference: Jobscan's core plan is $49.95 a month against Interactive CV's $19, and $89.95 a quarter against $45 — roughly twice the cost before any add-on. Both products start from the same idea: paste a resume and a job posting, get a score and a list of gaps. ATS parsing diagnostics

This is Jobscan's strongest point, and where its report goes deepest beyond a keyword count. Its Searchability checklist inspects formatting basics — contact information, section headings, date formatting, file type — flagging each with a green check or a red X and a one-line fix. Interactive CV doesn't run this specific checklist; its live PDF preview shows what a recruiter would see as you edit, catching the same problems visually rather than as an itemized list.

Interactive CV suggests the qualifications and responsibilities a CV is missing and writes them into the right section with one click, included in every paid plan. Jobscan's equivalent rewrite tool, AI Optimize, requires starting its trial or subscribing to use past the free scan.
