Where Rezi is a strong choice

If your main need is to write a strong general-purpose resume from scratch with AI help, Rezi is built precisely for that. Its Rezi Score checks things a job-match score doesn't — passive voice, filler words, personal pronouns, unquantified bullets — and shows exactly how a resume compares to others who used the tool. Its $149 lifetime plan can pay off over a full year of job search, though keeping any single tool in continuous use that long is the exception rather than the norm.

Where Interactive CV fits better

If you are applying to many roles and each needs a different emphasis, Interactive CV is organised around that: one base CV, a tailored version per posting with its own match score, and a Kanban tracker with search-wide metrics so you can see which version went where and how the search as a whole is going. It is also $19 a month against Rezi's $29, and it works natively in Spanish — interface, AI analysis and generated documents included, plus translating a CV between languages.

Job description matching and CV analysis

Both products compare a resume against a specific posting. Interactive CV shows every keyword, qualification and responsibility it checked, at the usage limits stated below — the whole picture is always visible, just a capped number of times. Rezi's AI Keyword Targeting works the other way on its free plan: pasting a job description highlights the keywords already present in green, but of the keywords still missing, only the first is shown — the rest sit behind a row of blurred, lock-icon PRO placeholders with a "See all" count.

Resume writing and the Rezi Score

Rezi's Score is a dedicated writing-quality check: it grades a resume across five categories — Content, Format, Optimization, Best Practices and Application Ready — and flags issues line by line, things like passive voice, filler words and unquantified bullet points. Most of the underlying checks are marked PRO and locked on the free plan, but the category breakdown and a comparison chart against other Rezi users are visible either way. Interactive CV's CV Tips reviews structure, contact details, formatting and how the profile reads, pictured alongside it below — it can surface some of the same issues without Rezi's line-by-line granularity on wording.

Tailoring your CV and templates

Interactive CV suggests the specific qualifications and responsibilities a posting is looking for and writes them into a profile or a chosen role with one click, recalculating the score automatically the moment a suggestion is applied; the Recalculate button is only for edits typed by hand. Rezi's core strength is the reverse direction: AI-assisted bullet writing and resume generation from scratch, rather than tailoring an existing CV against a specific posting.

Templates

Rezi's free plan includes one format (Standard) with three PDF downloads; its template library — pictured below — is larger, with several formats (Compact, Modern, Harvard and others) locked behind PRO. Interactive CV has six templates built for machine parsing — four free, two on paid plans, including a Harvard-style layout and a European-format template, two of the most widely recognised CV formats. A live PDF preview updates as edits happen, so a template change shows its effect immediately rather than after a re-export.

Cover letters and your CV as a document

Both generate cover letters from a resume and a job description. The document itself differs too: Interactive CV can publish a shareable link where a recruiter chats with the CV by text or voice, alongside the PDF — Rezi's output is the document itself, exported to PDF, DOCX or Google Drive.

Language

Rezi's AI Interview can run in several languages, Spanish included — but that setting only changes the interview. The rest of the product — the editor, the Rezi Score, the keyword targeting, the generated documents — is English-only, with no Spanish interface offered at all. Interactive CV's application tracker detects a language mismatch and flags it, with one click to switch to a CV already written in the posting's language — or, if there isn't one, to translate the CV between English and Spanish before applying. The whole product works natively in both languages — interface, AI analysis and generated documents included — which is a different, and broader, claim than a single feature that happens to run in Spanish.

Interview practice

Both products simulate interviews. Rezi's AI Interview can run in several languages and is capped at one session on the free plan, unlimited on Pro. Interactive CV lets a user configure the interview type, difficulty, question count, language and up to five focus areas per job before it starts, and the free plan includes 3 interview simulations rather than Rezi's single free session.

Finding jobs and tracking applications

Rezi has a real aggregated job search with live postings and a "Target Resume" button that tailors a copy to the one selected — Interactive CV has no equivalent, it works from job descriptions a user brings in rather than searching for them. What Rezi calls application tracking is a status tag per posting (No status, Applied, Interviewing, Rejected) set from a dropdown — there is no board, no notes field, and no CV attached to a status.
